You study religion in general, and provide a general education ABOUT religion, not IN a religion. You offer comparative understanding so that they can go into the world and make informed, intelligent, independent choices.

Problem is, when they're in a convo with other kids and say religion is a lie, they'll get into fights with other kids.
But yes, I think telling them the truth is still the right thing. Just let them know that there are believers out there that are too stubborn to let go.

Your not even married yet, and your concerned about this? Just tell them what your general beliefs are in regard to religion. As to fitting in, we are not a religious family either and there are no issues for my kids fitting in at school.

That's not a bad thing at all...it gives them a taste of what the world is really like and lets them practice how to deal with stupidity and confrontation.
No, don't do that. Be honest with them. You don't have to explain every detail at first, but don't lie to them or withhold too much info either. The goal is to explain enough in such a way which you believe will result in your kids understanding what you are saying, satisfies their curiosity, and they will grow up to be accepting of everyone's differences. Make sure that they know they can approach you for answers to any questions they have in the future too. Slowly but surely, they will learn about different religions whether it be from you, friends of theirs, or independent study. From there, they will decide what they wish to believe on their own, but hopefully they will be accepting of everyone no matter what they believe.

Let them decide what religion they should or shouldn't be a part of.
I told my nieces when they asked that question at about age 5, what I believed in and also explained what others believed in, trying not to belittle any one religion.

We have numerous texts that describe in detail how this can be possible and the reasons why He does this. He is of course invisible and can pass through normal matter with ease.
