i have a palm m100. i was wondering what do i need to do to access the internet from it. I only want to be able to check my email (possibly with outlook) and run instant messanging programs (AIM, MSN or YAHOO). What do i need to buy and/or download to make this work.

do i just buy a modem and a 'nokia cell phone to palm' adapter or something and download some software? also, if this is the case, how would i dial up? can i just dial up through my cell phone? so i would be able to use free internet and just use my cell phone minutes correct?

thanks in advance.

I have a PocketPC and use a cable from my cellphone and a CF 56k modem for land lines. I searched the Palm site and it looks like they show none. I had the same problem with Compaq and Motorola, then I went to supplynet ..

The way it works with my CLIE and Motorola Phone is that you use the phone --> serial and serial --> CLIE cables and just go into Network in Preferences. Setup the phone as a serial modems w/ standard commands and dial out to your ISP or, if your cell phone carrier offers it, their wireless web dial-up#.

As far as software, there are palm versions of AIM, ICQ, and Y! Checking e-mail can be done if you get an e-mail client for palm. The one I've been playing with is by Eudora and comes packaged with a pretty good browser.

Side Note: AIM crashed my Palm once and I had to hard reset it. Leave it to AOL to crash the most stable OS currently on the market.
