I have a HD Ready tv, and I want to just get the OTA HD signal. Do I need a tuner and an antenna? Or will just an antenna suffice?

I forget if "HD Ready TV's" have internal tuners or not...if it does have one, you just need an antenna, otherwise you need an external tuner as well. Look at your TV's manual/documentation to see which is the case.

Yeah, it's "ready", so no internal tuner. That's pretty much what I assumed, but wasn't sure. Just need to make sure I pick one up before football season starts ;)

I actually watch HDTV on my computer (widescreen LCD monitor, PCI tuner), and I'd never live without it now. :D

Yup, tuner and antenna.

Do you have cable or satellite service?

Cable, but it's free. And I'd like to keep it that way (ie: no box).

You'll need an OTA tuner, and an antenna.

The nice thing about most Sat services is their HD boxes double as OTA tuners.
