Don't cancel. Suspend the insurance.
Really depends on the insurance company. I have'nt dealt with Nationwide so you'd have to ask them about it.Originally posted by: archcommus

Anyone know what Pennsylvania's policy is with stored, uninsured vehicles?

If you don't have continuous insurance you're required to turn in your plates.

don't park your car on the sidewalk for over 72 hours or it will be towed.
Wtf, why? If you don't have a car you don't have a car! Nothing to insure...Originally posted by: redly1

Yeah...if you have a lapse in coverage, it is detrimental to your future rates

Only if you live in a neighborhood full of pricks and douches.

I was once in a situation similiar to yours and someone told me to get a battery trickle-charger. I think you can find one at Sears. good luck!

But wouldn't it be a better idea to get the oil changed when I start using it again and NOT before I store it?Originally posted by: KokomoGSTmp

Those can still overcharge a battery... thus my recommendation for a "conditioner/maintainer." More pricey but will not overcharge... can be had for around $50. No need to change all fluids. Oil and coolant don't become corrosive that quickly though moisture will collect in your fluids during that time. Changing the oil is recommended but oil is pretty good these days and the additives should keep it stable enough especially synthetic.
