I been doing some more searching. It sounds like hay fever allergies (Allergic rhinitis). So, the sudafed wouldn't really work for my main symptoms. Im thinking its caused by mold allergies, so im def. going to get tested.

Pseudoephedrine will help your congestion, but to suppress your allergies, you need an antihistamine. If your symptoms are already present, Benadryl works well and makes you feel good 😉

Next time, before your allergies kick in, take something like Claritin, Allegra (OTC from Canada), or Zyrtec.

Do you have a fever? A fever would more likely be an infection, not allergies.

diphenyhydramine (ie. benadryl.. but buy the generic, thats why i said the name)... it should help a lot of your symptoms, its over the counter... does have a drowsiness side effect, but whatever.. that in combination with pseudophedrine (sudafed) do the trick for me.

Yep, i have a fever also.. it comes with the package everytime lol. I just need something i can get OTC right now that can help.

Bendrayl uses the same Antihistamine "Diphenhydramine" as my current medicine which ins't doing anything. So im steering away from that.

Sudafed PE uses another Antihistamine, but i cant find the product on walgreens or CVS website. Is Sudafed PE Maximum Strength Sinus & Allergy OTC meds?

LOL at the responses in this thread. Dude seriously don't self diagnose, go to a doc. If it's allergies they will refer you to an allergist.

Well, i think the sudafed works really good. My nose is not stuffed up and my fever is down. My eyes are blood shot red, but there not really burning to the light. I got some eye drops that are helping my eyes adjust with the light/removing the redness =). Looks like ill be going into work drugged up today. Tomorrow i might call in sick if it gets worse than im off for a couple days straight for some reason. (how nice they setup my work schedule.. fits perfectly because im sick.)

Ill ask to stock the isles that are least visited to stay out the public sight today!

Thanks. 😀

Go to an allergist, I have an allergenic rhinitis and all they give me is claritin and nose spray. What actually helped was the allergy shots. That stuff works I just can not afford it for what they were charging me. They have other alternatives as well that can help. Also, a good air purifier can help along with checking the filter on your HVAC every month.

do you have a cat?
i used to get like this once a day because of my housemate's stupid cats... nothing some good ol' allergy pills wouldn't fix (forget the name...)

after a couple months it was either me or the cats so i decided to move out before i did anything stupid 😛

Im fine now. I dont have any pets so its not that. Next time it shows up unexpected ill see the doctor asap. I went into work and all the guys was surprised i showed up. They had all the managers there stocking because i called in sick and they needed help to stock things in the grocery store. Wheew, glad the sudafed actually did something for me.

I'm surprised more people don't turn to ATOT for medical advice. Heck, people ask about girlfriends and relationships, why not ask what to do about a severed limb or possible spinal fluid leakage...
