What do Christians think of non-Christians?

I'm sure this question has been asked before, I just can't find it. But i have to ask, especially in light of talking to a raving religious Christian, and being relentlessly pursued by Jehovah's witnesses...

Do you Christians think the rest of us are ignorant? The religions the rest follow are stupid and worthless? And by following them and not yours people cannot reach eternal bliss?

I personally am not religious at all. I am a scientist, I take very little on faith, especially something that has been transcribed from an oral tradition thousands of years ago. I actually have reasons to hate religion, seeing as how they tormented Kepler, imprisoned Galileo, and turned Pythagoras into an evil schemer. And even after all the bloodshed, what has it helped achieve?

I could make this open ended to all religious types, its just that the Christian ones are impacting my daily life.

I AM NIGERIAN BUSINESSMAN. I WISH YOUR COOPERATION AS THE ONLY SURVIVING HEIR OF MY CLIENT IN THE TRANSFER OF MONIES TO A US ACCOUNT. THE BALANCE IS $23.000.000.000 AND MUST BE TRANSFERRED VIA BANK TRANSFER. YOU WILL BE COMPENSATED 13% FOR THE USE OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNT TO BRING THESE MONIES TO THE LEGAL SYSTEM, AT WHICH TIME YOU MAY RECIEVE UP TO 80% OF THE REMAINING MONIES.

Well, obviously they're going to hell. Just kidding. What am I supposed to think? They're just people with a different belief system from mine. They've as much right to their beliefs as I have to mine. I might think you're wrong, but I can't know for sure that I'm right either, so I always try to keep an open mind. I'd also like to point out that religion didn't do bad things to people. People did bad things to people in the name of religion. Religion like any ideology can be abused and misused to further someone's own agenda. It doesn't mean the ideology itself is inherently wrong or at fault. Cheers.

Don't forget that regardless of what one would like to believe, there is only one truth. God cannot exist and not exist at the same time, so both view poinds are not equally valid.

Anyway, not all christians are the same, so even if this thread wasn't a big flame fest right off the bat, preordained by God to be one given ATOT , you'd not find a blanket answer here!

Correct. But given that all religions are equally arbitrary, how do you determine which "truth" is correct?

My brother is a major holyroller and he thinks lightning might strike anytime he is near me. Most religious people are VERY paranoid.

Yes it has and no you don't. Get the hell out, flamebaiting troll.

He has been a member for longer than you have been. Who are you to call him a troll? Go back to your Lindsay Lohan fantasies and don't ever come back.

No. No. No. Those answers, however, are just my personal opinions.

I find the exact opposite to be true.

Most of the religious types I meet regardless of religion don't seem to be paranoid; they appear to be happy and want to fill you with their holiness. Some get kind of brimstone though and try to scare you believing.

🙂

"WE" christians shouldn't have a standard opinion
fvck'n'A man

I'm christian, in my opinion - you can believe whatever you believe
i don't go around trying to convince people that theres a god
and i don't want people trying to convince me that there isn't

I'm a Christian and I also don't like "raving religious Christians".

I don't judge you by the actions of other non-Christians, and hopefully you won't judge all Christians by the actions of some jerk Christians (and there are many).
