What do boatbuilders use to get that Ultra Glossy look on wood?

veneer is fun to work with, kinda picky sometimes. I worked in a door factory for about 5 years, we delt with lots of different problems on with door veneer and figured out ways to fix them. i think for smaller speakers you would be ok to spray varnish them. they sell spray urethane varnish in a can like spray paint and i have had great luck with it. I have only used it on smaller things like shoe molding and jamb extensions.
