What Digital Camera to get???

Hi all,
I got a baby on the way and I was wondering what digital camera to get.

I was looking at the Olympus Camedia's C-3000 - C-3040 Zoom or possibly something from SONY.

Do you recommend any others???

I got a Canon S30 and have been nothing but happy with it.

After twenty odd years of buying cameras for snapshots I've learned that small is better. Buy a large camera and you'll think of every excuse in the book not to carry it. My Canon SLR stays in the closet most of the time. I even found myself not using the SLR on vacations, and buying disposable cameras to take snapshots. Needless to say, I learned my lesson.
 
I was thinking a digital camera around 300- 500 max and..

a video camera also. SONY for that. BUT not sure if a DIGITAL is worth it over the much cheaper analog.

Let me know.
 
The Olympus D-510 is another good choice, pick it up for $270 shipped after coupon from Staples.com
