The Canon S30 is pretty small and a great 3MP camera however the lowest price I saw for it a few days ago was $369. I bought mine 8 months ago for $465 and it has been great since.

You can get a Canon S30 right now for $299 from Staples - no PM or MIR necessary. It's $349 - a widely available $50 off $200 coupon. Wish I had the cash right now. :p

sample pics for the bored

Also own the S404, great camera. Only drawbacks:

Size
Lack of flash shoe,
35.5mm thread for filters,
also slow / poor focus in low light.

Otherwise great camera.
Good price, 4MP, 4x Optical, C/F, AA Batts

Some more for you all of my Samples

Pretty sure it's been discontinued though, so, hard to find it still. Some on EBAY for decent prices. IMO, it was a better deal than the Cannon G4 for the price.

another vote for the Canon S30. Great camera lots of features, takes great pics, had has a fair amount of manual adjustments. Pretty compact size too (not as small as the S200/230 size but has more features)

also, at a price $299 in the Staples deal, it's a steal.
