Any tips from you geniuses? I need to take them again soon.

Find a list of vocabulary words and study them for a week before you take the test. Then forget them, because they're useless. ;) Can't help you on the math... I think that depends a lot on natural ability.

lol

I also need to retake my SAT II tests. Man, I suck. All my friends are already done with their standardized testing and I'm the only one retake all of them over.

So, let's see that's about 1100 here in the US? ;)

I don't want to call you a liar, but I think your score would be higher if you only missed two questions. Text

No, I am not lying and I was quite suprised that I got that low for only missing those questions

PSAT score of 160 (Projected SAT score of 1600)

And I was half asleep.

Now that I'm signed up to take it next month, the SAT counselor woman is berating everyone about studying an hour each night and telling people to sign up for 3 hour tutoring sessions and buy study texts. She comes to me and she's like "I want you to study and blah blah blah blah blah and increase your score 200 points" and I'm like "no" and she flips out on me and Im' like "See that 160? I didn't study, I never paid attention to the 'word of the day' or any of that crap you give us to supposedly prepare, and I damn near slept through the test" and she's like "Oh well, improve anyway!"

PMS week methinks.

670 Verbal + 740 Math = 1410
PSAT told me I'd get 1500 :|

ACT composite: 34 (even more surprising is I got 36 on the english part)

I don't know why anyone would take the SAT I and SAT II route for college, ACT is SO much easier IMHO.
(unless the college doesnt take ACT)

780 + 710 = 1490. I got chastised by most of my friends for not getting a perfect 800 in math(seriously .... about 11 of them did. Although I did significantly better than them all in verbal)

you can miss a question or two and still get a 1600 IIRC
the SATs were recentered by 120 points IIRC
1450
not surprised at the highscores. with so many users, for the most part only the ppl with high scores post, giving the appearance of everyone here being smart.

It was for me.
I got a National Merit Scholar commendating for scoring in like the 90th percentile on the PSAT.
My SAT score of 1300 was about 90th percentile.

All you guys with scores of 1200 or better need to stop calling yourselves stupid.
The national average is around 1000.
The AT crowd is NOT a good representation of people in general.

And remember that most people who aren't going to college don't even take them.
If everyone was required to take the SAT's in high school, the average would be even lower.

A friend of mine scored around 900-1000 and is now a financial analyst for Nortel making 100k a year

Mine was, got a 1320 on my PSAT, and a 1320 on my SAT. However, the PSAT was a 690 Math 630 English split, the SAT was more a 740 Math 580 English split. What pissed me off about the SAT was I only got two questions wrong on math, and omitted zero and got a 740.
