What did you get your SO for valentine's day?

We've been trending down in terms of our gifts to each other on specific days despite social pressure to do so. I don't think either one of us will end up with even a card this year. OTOH we've got an international trip coming up so both of us are looking forward to that more

A flower and a cookie over the weekend, and we watched spongebob together (also over the weekend), cuz that's what she wanted to do.

Nothing. My son and I made a card for her. I might take her out for dinner tonight, or cook something special at home. We're not big into gift giving, she'll hint at things from time to time and I take note and use those hints wisely.

My wife has become a huge hockey fan ever since our kids started playing. Music to my ears. We're going to DC for a game soon. She'll be ecstatic for this.

And a framed family pic. Already celebrated with dinner the other day. Usually we don't do much for V-day so this will be nice for her.

Between our anniversary on Feb 2 and Valentine's day, I'm signing us up for swing dance classes (have not actually done it yet). And nice cooked meals on each day

$113 in f'in flowers to deliver to her work...

I usually just spend like $20 or so at a grocery store for the same thing, but I'm on a business trip currently.

Have you been to a game at the Verizon Center? They are a blast to go to and a lot to do right before/after too.

Brought her roses, chocolates, and a card to work today. We went to sushi last night. I gave a nighty last night. My gift will be tonight, when she wears the nighty to welcome me home.

Yes twice before. But what kinds of things to do are you referring to? We are only a couple blocks away via hotel and have nothing to do that day 2/24 (already did the monuments, etc.). 2 kids in tow.

I wished her a Happy Valentine's day this morning and she started laughing. We don't do Valentine's day anymore. When we did we both bought presents for each other.

Bars, lounges, restaurants, etc.

Basically nothing with kids lol.

But you did get married on Feb 2?

lol now I see what you mean ... Feb 2 is groundhog day, now things make sense.

We are unmarried, it's just the date we got together a couple years back. Generally more of an exciting milestone than Valentine's day and conveniently close so combined gifts or events work well. Personally I think Valentine's day is pointless, but she likes it, knowing full well that it makes no sense.

I have no SO, so maybe I'll pick a pron star online and watch her best-ofs and then send her a thank you email with a rose emoji in it.
