No drone for me but I got myself the SYma 107 helicopter from Amazon for $18. It's incredible. I have a five channel outdoor capable heli I used to fly (haven't repaired since last accident), but it's insane the tech on these things now. $18 buys an aluminum body exceptionally stable three channel helicopter and its gyroscope is excellent. I was immediately able to fly it anywhere.

That link at verge with people crashing them indoors are silly. You need to practice in a garage or very large room first indoors with no wind until you know what you're doing.
