What did you expect from embeded reporting?

I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering what other people thought of when they heard cameras would be on the front lines. I expected to see more of the combat because i think thats what CNN would like to show but its mostly like a warlike real world. What did you think you would see?

well we have all seen the battle clips. They can't just show 10 minutes of battle because they have only certain amounts of time to report the news. I have been ok with it. If this had been like the Gulf war we would have to rely on the Generals and their freaking metaphors for real news. And the dagger is pointing at the heart blah blah, oh brother.

With the embeds we are getting the news the way we should, casualties are reported, civilian contact is reported.
