What did you do when you turned 21?

Woke up early morning, took shower, had breakfast, went to school (college that time), had a test (written), went home late afternoon and family/friends were there to treat me for a birthday party. Not sure if I drank beer that day. Had to do some homework later on IIRC. No home/personal computers, no internet those days (late '70s).
 
Bought a martini at the New York City's Rockefeller Studios. It was in the restaurant that looked out over the ice ring.
 
Turned 21 this March. Didn't really drink prior to turning 21--always tried to have fun without substances. Had a beer at a local bar with a good bud and relaxed with my girlfriend.
 
We get all other rights at 18, buying bottles of hard liquor at 20.

But before 18 I was already buying all the drinks I wanted with *poker face*. When I wanted hard liquor between 18-20, I didn't mind drinking it at the bar. Also didn't bother getting a driver's license. So the birthdays didn't really do much for me.

wasted face. Passed out in the club, bouncer told me to stand up but couldn't, threw up on his shoes, got kicked out. Great night

I road tripped to Edmonton to visit a friend when I turned 18 and had a blast visiting pubs and peeler bars, then got to do it all over again when I turned 19 back in BC.
 
Back when I was a boy, 18 was the drinking age pretty much everywhere in the US. Did nothing special on my 21st B'day that I recall. It's been 30+ years though, so I may not remember 😀
 
Went to AC, lost money and got really drunk... good times lol.

As for the OP... lol trying to imagine this one at a strip club.... can't be done
 
went to a concert, went to a local shithole bar i havent been back to since and got drunk of course. then bought some quarts at the gas station around 2am, went home drank more. woke up, went and bought 200$ of misc shit at the liquor store.

good times. i was on like a 4 day bender since my 21st was on a thursday night lol
 
nothing, was bad timing for tests at school. think we went down to 6th street later in the week? not a huge deal for me, had been drinking already for many years.
