Yeah, same as everybody else. The P word. I also DLed some games...which were purely *educational* of course... (I guess it's good that I only do one of those now...except it's the illegal one.) Damn. But you'd think DLing games would be better than looking at P*rn...at least from a moral standpoint. Arg, now I'm confused. Maybe I should look at P*rn instead...)

I've had e-mail and usenet access for about 9-10 years now, so I used those for e-mail and newsgroup stuff.

I remember the first time browsing the web, however. September 1994, using a text-based Web browser via a terminal program. I couldn't see any pictures or anything, but I thought that first experience browsing was truly one of the coolest things I had ever done. What did I first look up? David Letterman's top ten lists. :)

Let's see here, the first few days I learned Perl. After I was bored with Perl I decided to write a ton of really cool CGI scripts. Next, java, easy. Got it down in about 3 days. The next 4 or 5 days I created my clone of hotmail, which was tons better than the real thing, but couldn't figure out what to call it

Bah, none of the above is true. I first got the internet when I was about 10, and I thought yahoo games was the coolest thing until I found out at Lowe's could make any color of paint you wanted. I remember my first game at yahoo games, it was checkers against this 17 year old from Malaysia.

BTW, I won :D

We had a 2400 baud modem, and prodigy as our ISP. All i remember is my dad told me not to click on anything that had a dollar sign next to it. It was pretty sad as far as i was concerned, until i found out about p0rn. That was on a packard bell 386 too

Yeah, I started out with Prodigy as my isp, and did mostly research for school. Das about it. Later, I turned to a life of playing Starcraft on Battle.net

I had prodigy, so I did nothing. Checked BBS's and that was about it. Ah...prodigy.

Telnetted into a library card catalog, guessed passwords until I got newsgroup access, and used it to download porn :D

my first access to the net was through a telnet connection to my university. From there I used Lynx to surf....pr0n of course. Kinda hard to know what pictures you were downloading as you only had the text to go by. But I figured anything that ended in .jpg was a goodie...I'm so ashamed.
That was on a 286 running Windows 3.11.

BTW...the Senior Member club will now welcome me with my 200th post. Not bad for over three years of lurking....
