A sweater and a snow shovel.

I was over his house a month ago fixing his garage door and I looked at his snow shovel. He had worn the metal blade down until it couldn't have been 7" tall. He had put a screw in it because he had worn it past the rivet. I just looked at it and laughed. I told him to put a rubber blade on it and use it as a squeegee.

Will I ever get that cheap? I hope not.

He died in 2005, unfortunately.

I would usually take him clothes shopping for christmas... he was so cheap, he would never buy new... anything... usually we'd get some t-shirts, underwear and a new shirt and pants.

nothing. my family long ago gave up on getting him a christmas gift. everything we get him, even if he may like it, gets forgotten about within *days*

anything smallish and handy or of some interest to him gets set aside, anything that costs money....well he just buys it as soon as he wants it. the best thing to get the man is some kind of sweets or dessert. otherwise he is impossible to shop for :/
