well just finished building my pc and well everything works...fans all running, system temp/cpu temp are at 30/32C, but my problem is my DVD/CD burner is set at First Primary Master and my hard drive is set to Third Primary Master (other 2 says NONE! is this an issue? my pc detects my floppy drive but its not listed as slave or master. please help

Floppy drive doesnt need to be listed as slave or master. If it works it isnt an issue, are you having problems booting up or installing OS etc?

well i havent installed my OS yet, but i first go on my bios i see the following..
IDE Primary Master [ Lite-On DVDRW SOH]
IDE Primary Slave [None]
IDE Secondary Master [None]
IDE Secondary Slave [None]
IDE Third Master [ST3120827AS]

Floppy Drive A [1.44M,3.5in.]

the third master i believe is my seagate 120gb SATA hard drive

i just want to know if this is ok or did i wire the cables wrong or sumthing. please help

You've either got the drives in the wrong order on the cables and/or the jumpers on the drives setup incorrectly. If you've got them set to cable select, you just need to reorder the cables, otherwise you're going to have to juggle to get them straight.

Btw, make sure you don't put both on the same cable, small performance improvement in a 2 drive computer by putting them on seperate channels. That way the computer doesn't have to wait for one to access the other, like during installations when data's going from one to the other.

why don't you first try to install the OS and see if it works? it shouldn't matter but the jumpers are the reason it's messed up

I don't see any problem with jumpers here. He just plugged the CD in connector 1 and HD in connector 3.
It doesn't matter which is where so I guess this setup should be fine.
