What devices do wireless networks interfere with? (cordless phone, x10)

Anyone have some real world results. I currently have a couple of x10 wireless video transmitters that run at 2.4ghz and I'm considering upgrading my 900mhz cordless phone. I'm trying to minimize the interference caused. I had a Siemens corded phone which also had a 2.4ghz cordless extension and it rendered my x10 useless as the base station was always sending a signal to the extension (no matter if you were using the phone or not). I'm interested in either 802.11a or b. I'm guessing "a" would not interfere since it runs at 5ghz, but the price difference is considerable. And what about the hybrid models that are compatible with "a" and "b"....do they always transmit the signal at both ranges, or do you select which range to use?

Thanks,
Chris

Anything at the 2.4ghz range could interfere with your wireless network...even your microwave.
A is in the 5ghz range, some noe wphones are running in that area as well.....

Some, but not all 2.4ghz cordless phones will interfere with 802.11b networks.
Microwaves have been shown to interfere only if they're in use within about ~5 feet of a networking component, making it a moot point. I mean, come on, who puts their laptop on their microwave? :)

I'd be worried about the X10 devices. I don't know about their ability to switch channels to avoid interference.
