What Det 4s are purported to be the best?

Just wondering, I am trying to get the most out of my system.

I am using 41.09 now. Are any of the more recent releases, either beta or WHQL, any better?

30.82 are the best. 41.09 downgraded the default image quality to raise 3DMark. By the time you enable texture sharpening and then move the slider over for image quality to equal the 30.82, the 41.09 performance is slower in games! I have a Geforce4 Ti4200 128MB running 300/662. I found that the Omega 1.1.82 was the best solution for me. I definate jump in image quality over the 30.82's, but a 10% performance hit. But at 1600 x 1200 with no FSAA I am still averaging 140+fps in Unreal Tournament, well able to afford the performance loss.

I have the 41.09s and I like them alot. I also had the 30.82 before these and no problems again. I couldn't even tell ya which are the best and which aren't... they all work quite well for me!!! these current ones are problem free! (from my findings!)

42.86 give a big drop in 3D Mark over the 42.01's, I went from 10.8k to 9.8k or so. Haven't really noticed much difference in games.

Oh gawd! I came in here to lay the smack down on anyone who recommends drivers based on the number 3DMark is spitting out. Do not, I repeat, do not use a driver based on what 3DMark is saying. It's ridiculous beyond imagination. Benchmark a freakin game rather than a long time driver cheated program!

I also added that game perofrmance wasn't affected, since that's more important. And I haven't gone back to the old drivers, because 3D Mark means very little to me.
