Assuming they are made well, of course. My biggest problem is that so few desserts ARE made well. Too many people think you can just throw some sugar together and call it good.
No fucking way.
A tasty dessert needs lots of TLC and can be ruined by just a little too much of the wrong thing. Most key lime pie's I have are merely adequate. I've seen too many places use shitty cake for strawberry shortcake, or worse yet try to substitute something like fucking biscuits! ASSHOLES!
Carrot cake needs to be very moist and cant have too many nuts. Actually, it cant be overloaded with any one ingredient or else its garbage. But my main complain is most of them are too dry.
Chocolate cake has the same problem more often than not. I dunno if its a lack of eggs or milk or whatever, but many times its just too dry to be considered a good dessert.
