I know for athlons you have matching/native memory speeds you use based on the FSB, but I have no idea what to use for P4s

For example, what DDR speed do you use for 400, 533, 800 fsb? This info is actually hard to find.

I am sorry I miss understood your ? FSB 400,533,800 well run on all DDR sdram from PC 1600 All the way up to PC 400 SPD well set for you keep in mind PC1600 well run at its spec speeds so u well not get all the bang for your buck generally speecking to keep it simple PC 3200 well match up on all the FBS for DDR sdram keep in mind FSB 800 requirs 2 PC3200 sticks to reach its 800FBS

Use this mate
400FSB - 1x PC3200 (3200 = 400mhz)
533FSB - 2x PC2100 (2100 = 266mhz) note* requires dual channel Motherboard
800FSB - 2x PC3200 * dual channel mode

Its pretty simple, just matching up memory 'bandwidth' with the fsb speeds, cant see why so many people
mess this up really badly.

What are you smoking?

400Mhz FSB requires PC1600.
533Mhz FSB requires PC2100.
800Mhz FSB requires PC3200.

You're looking at the quad-pumped figures there. Remember that 400FSB = 100Mhz x4, 533FSB = 133Mhz x3 and 800FSB = 200Mhz x4.
Dual-channel is not required, it's simply a performance increase in memory bandwith.
