what makes you say wow is childish? wow is far from childish. wow is probably the most fitting for you. there isn't much grinding until you get to the higher levels.

you don't have to play at an internet cafe to play korean games. where did you get that idea? just check out mmorpg.com and you'll find plenty of mmos to try out.

guild wars is pretty much just fighting against other players, not much in the rpg dept or pve dept.

To start off, because WoW has such a large player base, it inherently has quite a few people playing it that one would rather not have to "listen" to.

I said the Internet cafe thing for Korean games because that is where they are designed to be played, in Korea.

I'll still try out WoW and GW if I can, and maybe some of the others, too.

I always thought an online Skies of Arcadia would totally pwn.../rambling...

Well, from an offline perspective yet in regards to JRPGs you are completely missing out by not owning a PS2. Shadow Hearts 2 and 3, Disgaea 1 (2 is coming out soon), Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, FF12 (coming out soon, one of Famicons highest ranking games ever), The Digital Devil Saga, Front Mission 4, and all the others I'm forgetting.

Since you do have a GC, look into getting Fire Emblem.

I'm not really sure for what you're looking in an MMORPG, but check out Anarchy Online The original version of the game is completely free (no monthly fees), though many add-on modules are available which require a recurring monthly charge. You can get a good taste of the game in the free version.

It's an incredibly complex game, authored by a Finnish company (not Western or Eastern) Funcom. It's very D&D like in concept, but it's set in the Sci-Fi future on a fictional planet called Rubi-Ka. There is even an in-game internet radio station, Gridstream Radio, operated by players in-game and "broadcasting" as if it were from Rubi-Ka.

As stated previously, MMO's are incredibly addictive... so beware unless you are independently wealthy or still living at home. I finally broke my addiction, and I only stop in to "socialize" with old friends there (on a free account)... No, really, I've quit. LOL

skace, I already have Fire Emblem for GCN and the first one for GBA, but I just didn't feel like mentioning all the games I have.

arkcom, Ragnarok is Korean, and that means it's full of grinding, so no.

And as for MMOs being addictive, I am very aware of my time, so I don't get addicted.

EDIT: Oh, and Anarchy Online looks "stupid" to me. ^^

Meh... try and help a typical know-it-all teenager, and this is the typical response.

What are you talking about? You tried to help me, and I appreciate your attempt, but what you suggested just didn't look appealing to me.

And how would you know what I'm like personally?

I suggest you just try WoW. It guides you from zone to zone pretty directly for a while and you seem to be looking for a linear game.
