What credit cards do you have?

Chase Visa Signature
Discover

The Chase was recently "upgraded" from a Freedom. I actually wanted to opt out but confused with the wrong date on the paper, so when I went to do that it was too late. I may see if I can switch that if it ends up being bad for me.

My account online still says the 3% cashback for top 3 categories, but my understanding is that Chase is removing that from all Freedom cardholders, along with the $250 for $200 in rewards, leaving just 1% regular cashback.

The Discover has 1%* cashback, plus 5% on a couple categories that change quarterly. Unfortunately the categories are useless to me just about all the time.

* means 1% only after something like $2500 spent. Otherwise it's .5% and .25%. In other words almost nothing for me.

The cashback has been nice but it's not a huge amount for me, so not a big deal that card companies are cutting way back on them. I hear there is a 2% on everything card that I might look into.

Chase Cash Rewards - 5% gas/grocieries/drug (suprised it is still open)
Chase Freedom Plus - 3% on 15 cateogries, 200/$250 split (still haven't gotten any update on what is happening if anything to my account)
Chase Professional - 3% restauraunts (actually a business card--I do a lot of dining out)
Charles Schwab - 2% on everything (probably the best of all of them)

These are the ones I carry/use on a regular basis, I also have a Citi Dividend and Chase PerfectCard, but those are sock drawered.

Costco Amex - 3% gas and eating out, 2% travel, 1% everything else, and I can use it at Costco
Chase Freedom - used it be great, but not so great, basically 1% with 3% back in a few random things
Discover - 1% cashback all the time, 5% specials every quarter
MBNA Visa and Citi Plat - have them because they have very high credit limits.

I have a big pile but all my usage is on the PenFed Visa Platinum Cash Rewards card. 5% on gas, 2% on groceries and 1.25% on everything else. No limit to rebate earnings, and rebates are credited automatically to your statement every month.

I don't have a credit card yet but I am looking into getting one to build credit. I'm 19 and been working for 3 years now so it's probably time.

Costco Amex (For most purchases)
Visa through my bank (No longer use regularly)
Amazon Chase (Use only for Amazon)
Discover (5% on gas)

I've been meaning to research PenFed, as kranky discusses above.

Choice Privileges card

2 points per dollar in reward points

Free hotel stay is 8,000 - 20,000 reward points (usually near the lower end of the spectrum).

We pay all possible bills with it and pay it off in full every month. Equates to approx 60,000 points per year or ~6 free hotel stays.

I have a Discover, a chase Amazon visa (3% ? back from amazon purchases, 1% back for everything else) and a Capitalone I never use but keep for occasional international use.

FYI, there is a special 5% cashback on restaurants this month for Discover, go sign up.

ranked more or less in prominence/frequency of use:

amex trueearnings business - 5% gas, 3% restauraunts, 2% travel; additional savings (5-15%) on hotels, cars, etc
amex sky - 1.25% cashback applied to travel
amex gold - points transferred to frequent flyer accounts
capital one no hassle visa - used overseas, no forex ... 1% cashback i think
citi aadvantage mc - miles to AA
citi aadvantage amex - miles to AA
chase signature mileage plus - miles to UA
ameriprise world elite mc - points... useless

unused cards:
citi plat div select
bofa mastercard
amex blue
chase freedom

theres a few more im forgetting about

Chase Freedom terms have been changed. The card is a loser.

Schwab is great no fee card at 2% and no int'l fees and Signature benefits. No reason why not to have this card in your wallet.

AMEX Starwood is the best points card for airlines and hotels.

The best 1 year promo card is the Citi AMEX Platinum....no fee first year and 3% with 5% on gas and groceries.

Sorry I can't find it. I know I read it on here several times in the past 1-2 months. I tried finding the thread(s). One I recall is someone saying they'd have to spend so many thousand dollars to get to $200 before the deal is over (June 30 I recall?).
