What cpu to

I currently am running a p4 2.8b on an Abit is7 board. I want to upgrade my cpu to a p4 3.2c or 3.4c. A 3.2c cost about 289 cdn were the 3.4 costs (lowest price and hard to find) 399cdn. Which cpu gives the best bang for your buck?

Remember my 2.8b has only 533 mhz front side bus while the 3.2c has 800mhz front side bus and hyperthreading. Anyway since socket 478 is going by the wayside I would like to upgrade my cpu to best bang for buck value before they become scarce to find. Although, better said than done, I would like to run this system for a couple of years before going through the upgrade war again. Have never tried overclocking but may give it a try, but reluctant as I don't want to fry my system as I am a novice at overclocking. Already, it's next to impossible to find a socket 478 p4 3.4c in the Toronto area.
