What CPu to get??

Anyone please...

I am trying to put together a new system and need your advice on what CPU to get. I want to overclock it and get the best performance I can. Intel or AMD? Dual core or single? 45nm or 90nm? PLease soneone respond..

Gonna have to give a lot more info on what you are using the system for. But you aren't getting anything thats 45nm..

definately get dual core for the future. and i think the best bet would currently be AMD. The processor that is best bang for the buck right now, as i see it, is the 4400+ or the 4200+. Supposedly the 4400+ would be better because of the higher L2 caches, but i dont know how big of a difference that would make.

I plan on doing gaming and video editing. I want the fastest processing power to handle large files.

Save Money : A64 X2 3800+ @ 2.6GHz (Over X2 4800+ Performance)
Frill Money : A64 FX-60 @ 2.85GHz

Intel :
Save Money : Intel Pentium D 920 @ 3.6GHz
Frill Money : Intel Pentium D 950 @ 4.2GHz
