Hi there,
i want to get the celeron 700 fcpga with a slocket adaptor
to use on my old Abit BH6 right now im running a 300a @450mhz (4.5x100mhz) and was wondering if anyone got the celeron 700 to work.. ive posted what i have found on Abit's website.. but dont know if its updated or not.. or if the new bios allows the 66mhz to reach 700.
this is important cuz i want to save money and buy the celeron instead of the PIII700 which is $100 more.

thanks in advanced

CPU
1.Supports Pentium®III 450~700 MHz processor cartridge.
2.Supports Pentium®II 350 ~ 450 MHz processor cartridge (Based on 100MHz clock)
3.Supports Pentium®II 233 ~ 333 MHz processor cartridge (Based on 66MHz clock)
4.Supports Celeron®266 ~ 333 MHz processor cartridge (Based on 66MHz clock)

you have to update the bios first...
im running a cel2 566 on it at 850 @ 1.85v.. before i updated the bios i was running a cel 300a@450 and it wouldn't even recognise the 566 at first.. flash and all was fine...
my guess is that you shouldnt have any problems with the cel2 700 as long as you have the latest bios..
