Recently my desktop has the following problem:
The machine will halt under win2000 with a blue screen and following info:
**Stop: 0x0000001E(0x000005,0x804a..)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
-Address 804A6DE6 base at 80400000
DateStamp 3d366b68-ntoskrnl.exe
beginning deump of physical memory
Dumping physical memory to disk...
If I restart the machine at the time, it will fail trying to startup win2000, it says that the file ntoskrnl.exe in the win2000 boot record is
corrupted or not found. But If I turn off the mahine completely and restart it, sometimes it can enter win2000 again.
I tried to reinstall windows and use the win2000 cd to boot the machine, but the setup program will report a INF file invalid info while it is loading hardware drivers. Sometimes with luck it can load the drivers correctly, but I will see the blue screen mentioned above when it is tryint to startup windows.
I sometimes can aslo see an error info which says that some driver is corrupting the file ntoskrnl.exe. I have changed almost everything on my machine, I unplugged ethernet card, modem card, I changed the video card and the ram, but the problem remains. It may not be a problem of the hard drive since the problem occurs even if I boot the mahince with CD as mentioned above. Could it be a problem of the motherboard?
I am not sure whether this is the right place to post. I will appreciate any helps. Thanks.
