I say again, this has not been conclusively proved.
If you like, I can compile my EFI driver to target your CPUID.
Well i run it but i am not getting good values. Never got 3,8Ghz even on single core, on multi core i got a very short peak of 3,1Ghz (which is in fact better than standard) i tried all efi's from v3x4 rc8 but no luck. I saw test result on Geekbench that were a lot better on hackintosh with same cpu (E5-2696 v3 oem).Hey guys I have a Hackintosh( with no Windows partition on it ) with and ASUS X99 AII running a 2996 v3 .
My question is : is it possible to run OSX on an unlocked bios and also is there a guide for beginers?
Maybe someone could be kind enough to patch me a bios on their machine for my motherboard
It's already patched for your X99 A-II.Hey guys I have a Hackintosh( with no Windows partition on it ) with and ASUS X99 AII running a 2996 v3 .

Can you share the EFI files I need for clover please?
all chips are locked. You can only unlock turboboost clocks to all cores on ES stepping 2 and retail onesOK, maybe I missed this in the 73 pages, but can an E5-2695v3 ES chip be overclocked on an X99 Taichi using multiplier ? I guess the main question is, can ES chips be overclocked in general using multiplier. I know the retail ones are locked.
Thanks for the feedback , just my luck every link is deadThere are a lot of efi's over here you just need one.... but first install a modded bios.
here are some...

i have problems with them just search in this topic for the v3x2-cp27.efi that one worked for me on osx. I am searching for one that work stable of the v3x4 versions of RC8 becaus i don't know how to patch EFI. I would love one of the v3x4 RC9 versions with mc27. I think that will work but i don't know how to compile them.
Thanks i downloaded for my board too.... problem the MRS 0x194 is set so it won't load any of the v3x4 efi's and doubt if the older v3x2 version load.... with or without EFI i get the same result.... (3,4Ghz turbo 1 core, multicore 3,1Ghz) on a E5-2696v3 hope somebody can help me out i tried to do it my self but that was more then 6 months ago and i know i failedIt's already patched for your X99 A-II.

Remember to update bios with bios flashback feature button, not the standard update in bios
Thanks for all your work so far!RC8 binaries are now up and available for download:

Major changes:
1) Fixed a bug that was preventing PowerCut from being enabled if set. Remember to set VCCIN to Auto in BIOS (if available) when using drivers with PowerCut enabled. Also, if the driver notifies that a reboot is required then simply do a restart as soon as you get to your OS login screen. PowerCut requires a fixed VCCIN and VCCIN can only be set on reset. Hence, PowerCut will require an immediate reboot after any shutdown (not required between successive warm resets).
2) Added back ability to adjust SA voltages. There may be some power savings here but hard to tell if not included in PCU determination to increase boost (probably not). Those with 2S systems will probably care more as this includes the QPI link power budget of which a large part would be the 4.8GHz link from CPU0<->CPU1.
3) Behavior change: set Uncore to max speed and force max speed. This may be a personal choice for some as this does increase idle power and as well may remove power from the power budget that could otherwise be used for the Cores.
4) OC Lock Bit in MSR 0x194 is no longer set. You should now be free to continuing playing with settings post-boot.
is it possible someone can compile a EFI with power enabled and mc 27?
To flash via dos, you just need a bootable DOS disk, then the flash utility for dos, and the bin file for the flashever since I flashed this bios the asrock instant flash doesn't work anymore and I am unable to flash another bios. The whole system freezes when instant flash is executed.
has anyone tried the bios linked here and found them working without problems?
Is there another way to flash the bios? to flash it via dos it looks like I need another modded bios as well...

Download it, and I think the flash utility is exactly what you need, and the bios. Now to just get a bootable floppy or USB stick to boot dos.Is the "flash utility" for dos a one size fits all or do I need a special Asrock Rack one? Because I cannot find an asrock rack flash utility for dos. I can download a .exe from their website but that includes both the bios as well as the flash utility, so I cannot flash my own preferred bios.
If I take a look at this page, it sounds like the bios is included in the exe.Download it, and I think the flash utility is exactly what you need, and the bios. Now to just get a bootable floppy or USB stick to boot dos.
Where can I source code to this efi driver so i can modify and compile?
Can somebody please help me with modding this bios? just without microcode?

I tried but my machine won't boot... so i think i did soemthing wrong but i don't know what tried it 3 times now and it keeps on giving me nothing and after 5 minutes it power's itself off
It was also somewhere in this thread but i searched for a whole day and can't find it....
The whole pc does not load there is something wrong with my modded bios file i think. So i can not enter the biosdisable c state support in bios
