Hi guys. Just need som help...

at the place I work, we have a Polycom Video Conferencing unit. We have just had a new building built had RJ45 ports put in the ground.

The speaker for the unit is not an RJ45 nor an RJ12. It is a 6 pin that has the clip on the side of the connector (as apposed to the middle).

Does anyne know if you can get adapters for these to change it int a RJ45? I need to do thisso that we can put it through the ground, patch it at the panel and have it come out near the unit from an RJ45 socket.

Many thanks

That is an MMJ cable created by Digital Electronics Corporation (DEC).

The pinout diagram for the cable is:

1 DTR (Data terminal ready)
2 TX+ (Transmit data)
3 TX- (Transmit ground)
4 RX- (Receive ground)
5 RX+ (Receive data)
6 DSR (Data set ready)

Thats fantastic. Exacly what I was looking for- will have to order a few of these!

Once again thanking you!
