Well here's the types of games I have / love. I love beautiful renderings and 3d landscapes / artwork that my videocard has to work with.

1. Half-Life (graphics + gameplay)
2. Max Payne (graphics + gameplay)
3. Quake3 (graphics / random blowing people up)
4. Giants (Graphics + gameplay)

Can anyone recommend any other games? I'm getting way bored with these.
:) :)

No one's mentioned MOHAA yet?!
(Medal of Honor: Allied Alliance)

By far one of the most intriguing, realistic FPS's I've ever played. I love it.

GTA3 is third person. There is an option to play in the "classic" overhead view, but you don't ever have to.

I would recommend GTA3 also (out today I believe), and also Soldier of Fortune II (later this week?).

Later on, I would recommend Warcraft III, though the release date seems to fluctuate between the end of June to the beginning of July.

I preordered both SOF2 and Warcraft III and I'm buying GTA3 after work. Hopefully, I'll be done with SOF2 and GTA3 by the time Warcraft III arrives, so I can have time for that. While also taking a full summer quarter of classes (17 credits).
*Sigh*:(.

From the games you listed I'd say get Serious Sam 2 or Soldier of Fortune 2.

Oregon Trail!! Oh wait . . .

Given your list, maybe Jedi Outcast? I haven't played it besides the demo, but might be up your alley based on reviews.

Alright i am insanely critical of games and movies and basically everything in life but here we go.

DO NOT buy Dungeon Siege, boring dull slow and repetitive.
DO NOT buy morrowind, boring, whole bunch of nothing.
DO NOT buy SoF2, damn that game just flat out SUCKS.
DO NOT buy Serious Sam 2 if you are looking for a game to keep you interested, it is pretty much a LAN party game.
GTA3 was fun on PS2 but it got a little old after a while for me but still the best game outta these lists.
DO NOT buy Return to Castle Wolfenstein, boring not enough variation. Nothing to keep it fun.
MOHAA is a niche game if you ask me, i didnt like it but i did not loathe it either, if your into that type of game it wouldnt be a bad idea to check it out like get a demo or something.

On a semi-related note Firearms 2.6 just came out and i completely hated 2.5 but they really turned it around in 2.6, give it a try.

All these are my opinions, no need to flame me for all you morrowind/DS fanboys.

what games have I liked?

Half-Life is an excellent game.
The Opera was a good modification but received no support unfortunately.
Counter-Strike was also a good modification until it went retail and the lamers infested it, then 1.4 came around and dealt the death blow.
Day of Defeat is a good modifcation also, 2.1 fixed some of the issues i had with 2.0 but i still dont like MG's :)
Firearms 2.6 has also completely turned that mod around, it is enjoyable now :)

Max Payne was a good game but no real replay value.

Total Annihilation was also a good strategy game.

Quake 3 isn't a bad game just doesnt float my boat.

Diablo 1 was a good game as well.

Subspace is the ultimate in addictive games. This game has sucked up over 6 years of my life. I was quite addicted for about 4 years of straight play before i finally broke away realizing the effect it had on me. Still a good game but like all things must be done in moderation.

Crusader No Remorse was a fairly good game also.

Almost everything being released now totally sucks, developers arent taking time to test stuff and make fun games.

Oh, and don't even get me started on those stupid fashion games (MMORPG's) i really really hate those.
