What company is backing "Rosewill"

I haven't been looking for hardware upgrades until just this past week and a company named "Rosewill" is selling everything.
Does anyone know where they came from or who is backing them?

newegg.com has tons of stuff for sale under the Rosewill name brand...any idea who they are....did Newegg create their own line?

I believe it is Newegg's in-house packaging program as only Newegg and ChiefValue (another newegg division, I believe) are carring the brand. Probably a way to make a bit more margin on what is basically OEM product.

I've wondered the same thing. Never saw them before until about five or six months ago at the Egg.

I doubt it, they have their own site at www.rosewill.com
They're located in a seperate city from newegg.
They probably just opened a huge manufacturing plant in China and opened up a headquarters in CA, and just started distributing.
If you read the about Rosewill link, it says,
Not long ago we had an idea - bring quality hardware and affordable prices together.
So it's just a new company.

I believe I've seen some Rosewill cards at my local Best Buy, but I'm not 100% certain. It may have also been a local shop.

So what does this mean?? I need the abridged version... Am I going to buy it and get shafted??

Having its own web site and being in a different town doesn't mean a thing. ChiefValue is in a different town with its own web site... Nor does Rosewill's palaver mean anything - in fact, the whole spiel is almost devoid of meaning - just pleasant sounding BS.

Anyone care to bet on whether Newegg either pwns or holds a big chunk of Rosewill.

Newegg.com, ABS Computer, ChiefValue, CplusE and Rosewill are all belong to same owner, Magnell Associates. You will find different adresses on whois.net actually are their warehouse addresses (NJ, CA). Rosewill has a factory in China and make cheap stuff to sell on Newegg.com. CplusE is their hardware review website. So now Magnell Associates is not just a player but a Referee too.

Interesting. Good first post if this stuff is correct.

Aside from brand name, does anyone have experience with quality yet?

Lol, informative and funnyone111 !

This is kinda funny. I did a whois on one of the newegg offshoots, abspc.com:
Registrant:
ABS Computer Technologies (KKVIMCVTQD)
9997 E. Rose Hills Road
Whittier, CA 90601
US

Domain Name: ABSPC.COM

Administrative Contact:
Hostmaster, ABS (ZNYDBOCGPI) hostmaster@abspc.com
9997 E Rose Hills Rd.
Whittier, CA 90601
US
562-695-8823

I think that is how they got the name Rosewill.

Yeah It showed up a few months ago I think, the font type will catch your eye. I don't no...Newegg is a geat place but I've found out after a couple of years that other life does exist out there that has the same product for less--sometimes much less, espically with Neweggs ridiculous shipping rates on some items.

I use Rosewill 9200SE's in my low-end boxen. They're nice.

I think that Rosewill is a bulk buying and repackaging house for NewEgg.

Everything I've seen drives me back to NewEgg.

I've picked up Memory sticks & video Cards from NewEgg as 'Rosewill'
& all I'm seeing ts the 'Rosewill' sticker added to an OEM manufacturer's part.

Price break is maybe 5% - not a bad deal, but I don't think they really make anything except the sticker.
