What common use of technology do you refuse to do?

I'm sure most of us on these forums are reasonably tech savvy, myself included. However, I still refuse to do my taxes electronically, as I personally don't see the need at this time. For the longest of times also, I didn't even consider using online dating, another popular use of technology these days.

Is there a common, accepted use of technology, the Internet etc. that you opt not to do, but rather just use the "old-fashioned" way?

Text messaging is a great way to contact someone discreetly at times when it would be inappropriate to be talking on the phone. It is also completely free from many providers (or cheap) and does not count against your available minutes.

I'd rather people text in a public place than shout into their phones.

That's it. there's a BIG difference between refusing to do something and just not opting to.

No call waiting, caller ID, ringtones, text messaging and I don't even know what call notes are.
Use online banking but refuse to allow companies to automatically draft my account.
Haven't submitted taxes online yet, but am not refusing to do so, just haven't seen a need yet.

Please provide the names of the providers that supply text messaging for free (in the U.S.)?

Also what is you definition of cheap? $0.10 to send a tect message doesn't sound cheap to me.

Yep, no cell phone due to annoyance factor, plus I don't think I'd use it... or if I ended up using it a lot I think that would be a bad thing.

It was completely free on Cingular back when I was with them. That could well have changed, but I know T-Mobile will get you unlimited text for $5/month.
