what comic books do you think would make good movies?

I think either Teen Titans or The Outsiders would both make pretty good movies.

a potential nod to Walking Dead, if they ever reach any sort of climatic point in the series.

Iron Man could be good if they find the right actor (not Tom Cruise).

Even in the early decades before adding the alcoholism, Tony Stark was a flawed character like Bruce Wayne, another "mortal" with no powers other than his own technology. He also had the bad heart, so being a superhero could easily have killed him.

Too bad Holloywood will ignore all of that and probably cast Ben Affleck as Stark.

Two spring to mind. Tops on my list would be a good adaption of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series.

A dark horse candidate could be Cerebus the Aardvark. Don't laugh, they did Howard the Duck a couple decades ago.

Watchmen. Hell yeah.

Wow, Hollywood would love a movie like that... stupid parents would take their 5 yr olds to see it... imagine the horror on their faces.

Nah, a movie like that would be too dramatic and serious and well-written. Besides, it'd be dumbed down since Alan Moore has pretty much washed his hands of most of his projects as they are sold to movie execs.

There's constant talk of Gaiman's Sandman being made into a movie... that's not going to be good if it did. Same with Preacher... they'll ruin it like they did Constantine (aka Hellblazer).

Vampirella. Also, I think there was a comic called White Witch at one time.

But it would NEED to be rated R.
They PG-13'd Spawn the movie, and it stunk.
The animated special on HBO was awesome.

EDIT: I like the suggestion for Bondage Fairy's

This was recently being done but got scrapped by Warner Bros. I'm kinda glad as Watchmen's scope is too big to be limited by a movie.

V for Vendetta is coming out soon starring Natalie Portman

History of Violence is based on a comic book, starring Viggo Mortensen.

The Fountain starring Hugh Jackman is also based on a comic book.

Other movies in the works...
Wonder Woman
Flash
Ghost Rider
Captain America

Unfortunately, these movies are in the works too...
Hellboy 2
Daredevil 2
Hulk 2

I'm still pissed off that Affleck was DD. That's total bullsh!t and so was the movie. The only so-so character was Bullseye.

DD is a much darker comic than they portrayed. The struggle within Matt Murdoch's mind wasn't even really played on. Did they even introduce or talk about Stick? It was so lacking, I can't even recall. meh, I could rant forever on this one.

I wouldn't mind seeing a solo Wolverine flick. It has to be done right though. Do it dark & nasty with the appropriate amount of grit. Unfortunately, that's just not what people pay to see I guess. Hollywood fscks up 90% of comic book movies. Batman Begins was good though, I could stand to see a couple more like that. I liked Punisher as well.

punisher was alright, little sappy. Batman begins was great. While not a comic book movie, i think they really did a good job with the dark portrayal in "Man on Fire", easily on of my favorite movies. DD, Hellboy, and Hulk were all crap. We need an Ironman movie ala Batman Begins. Something dark.
The original flash was good
