dust is very prominent on black case's but they do look MUCH nicer if u can keep it clean. silver case's wont show much dust even if you don't clean it

I voted for black!

I would NEVER own a silver computer (check my rig)?

Why not? Silver is soooooo common!

I digress...
Silver soars as top auto paint color

Silver remained the most popular vehicle color choice among automobile buyers in North America, Europe, South America and Asia...

as it has for the past six years

Traditional colors like silver and white have long been considered "safe" colors...
Silver is the new white... not the new black!

Black has long been the "badazz mofo" color... :)

I generally prefer silver, although the black is nice also.

My advice on this purchase: go with the v1200a plus II over the v1000s plus II. You will have a bit more room for your PSU and won't have to worry about this:

Why not? Silver is soooooo common!

Cars and PC's aren't the same thing. Plus, a Lian-Li case is not "silver" in the usual sense of the term because it is not a painted case so it isn't a metalic sparkly silver but brushed aluminum. The black is actually anodized as well, so it doesn't have a painted glossy look either and there is no paint to chip off. If you were going to make an analogy between a Lian-Li and a car it would have to be a DeLorean. Honestly, these cases are really such nice cases you really won't go wrong with either.

But the black will match more optical drives.

Lian-Li makes really nice aluminum bezels for both the black and silver cases, so you can get whatever drive you want (except slot loaders) and have it match your case beautifully... They are $10, but the case the OP is looking at is already $200+, so it's trivial IMO.

That's unfortunate!

My case is powdered coated -- a glossy black mirror finish -- and hard as a rock!

So, I guess it all depends on the quality of the finish...

With that in mind, I guess I would change my vote to silver for Lian Li cases!

Looks like a better case:thumbsup:
Have you checked out their 777 cases?

If I was going to buy a Lian Li, that's what it would be...

Is that the snail looking one? I think the PC-A10 may just be the case that has it all, removable MB tray aswell:)

Go with the silver. I've got a Lian Li in silver and it looks great with 2 CCFL's inside. Plus as JPas says, get the optical drive covers from Perfromance PCs and your case will look sweet. Good luck and enjoy.

Not at all, Dave!

I really like the Lian Li PC-777. It's the only case they make that I DO like!

All the rest look like... well, let's just stop there. ;)

Good luck!

I'm really happy with my PC-777. Granted, nothing is in it right now, but that'll change within a month. It's absolutely huge, plenty of room...the finish is amazing. I prefer silver LLs, but when it comes down to it the color isn't why you select it. It's the quality of the case build itself.

Oh, and you can't go wrong with Performance-PCs. :)
