Topic. I like to drive, but i hate to maintain my car. I know, i know.

So which color is best for someone who doesn't mind driving a car with an inch of crud on it?

Silver/gray. Hides scratches, and dirt doesn't look so prominent on it. Red and black are the worst.

Of course, you could just stop being lazy and wash it every couple weeks.

Silver or gray. My car is silver, and I've washed a grand total of 2 times in a year. Looks fine.

..I wish they would make a simi textured non gloss finish so sctatches and small dents wouldn't be so obvious.

I'd go with a custom paint job. Use an off-white with black spots all over it. You'd never be able to see the real bird crap.

Some BMW's of lore did not have glossy paints, like the original Z4.

Tan. I never washed my pickup in the five years I owned it. It looked fine.

Or.... you could do what some guy did to the Sidekick one of my coworkers later bought. Spray spray-on bed liner over the entire painted surface, everything but the lights. Yep, the entire vehicle was black and bumpy. Dirt and scratches didn't show one bit.

Use Nu Finish the twice a year car polish. ;)

LOL at those who voted black. That is the worst "color" to have if you are concerned about 1) heat and 2) avian waste. :)

Take a look at your current car. Get one of those color swatch booklets from a paint store. Match dirt on your car to paint color. Match that paint color to your potential new car.

A light brown/tan/beige color is best for me. A perfect match the dirt that's accumulated in the years since I last washed my car.
