Either way only because you act so arrogant I'm going to chime in with the others and say "nothing special". I had clubs, activities, community service, bla bla, 4.2 GPA (4.0 unweighted...wait I might have gotten a B+ in my last quarter english class. Ah well I don't care. And even with that I think I was ranked at 10 or something because some people took literally 4-5 AP classes at a time. I was lazy and did 2) , and ultimately got rejected from UCSD and UCB - my top two choices at that time.
And LMAO at being a Jew, as if that will get you in![]()
Weighted GPA is bulls**t. Everyone has a rocket average, but the courses are so filtered it really means nothing. Remember, my school offers ZERO AP COURSES, NO CLUBS, and basically NO SCHOOL SPONSORED activities.
I'm in ASB (A.k.a Leadership). Hopefully my API will seduce the officers. Hopefully they consider schools with higher levels of academic efficiency than prison public schools with a thousand dumb kids who make the mediocre ones look insanely intelligent.
I fail to see how a "highly academically concentrated" high school has no AP courses and allows no clubs or school-sponsored activities. Unless you go to Stuyvesant, I don't see how there's really anything you should be proud of about your high school.
API isn't a metric used by college applications. Do your research.
Some of those "prison" public schools happen to produce great thinkers too.
I went to one of your so-called "prison" public schools with 3000 students. Unforunately, that "prison" public school also happens to be a National Blue Ribbon and California Distinguished School.
