Bastard usually has 5-10% higher then the second person in every class. He pissed one of my professors off by being the only person to get 100% on all three tests since he started teaching 15 years ago. He made the test extra hard and had about 300 check marks looking for something wrong. Everyone else had about 10 check marks and the second highest grade was around 70%.

I'll be a junior at the University of Arizona getting a BS in Computer Engineering
Ultimately I plan to get a MSECESHPCM, (Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering Specializing in High Performance Computing and Microelectronics) but thats still a couple of years off, so I may change my mind.

Class starts on the 26th and I'm moving down there on the 22nd.

I'm a senior this year and I'm considering Purdue, Rose Hulman, University of Michigan, Ohio State, U of I, UT Austion, and Carnegie Mellon. Any suggestions about those places? (or other suggestions) My major will be computer science or computer engineering.

You should take a look at the rankings of their CS depts. in that case. Pick the highest one that's not in a horrible area and doesn't have horrible people going to it

Heh, I applied to Purdue, Ohio State, U of I, and Carnegie Mellon (of the universities you listed) and got into all of them. I picked the UIUC for several reasons, but a big part of it was feeling comfortable on the campus. I've been to all four of those schools, and I highly recommend visiting them. Big difference in living style. Purdue and UIUC are very similar. Nice big school in a smallish city. I prefer UIUC over Purdue because I like the layout of the campus better. Another thing to consider is Champaign-Urbana has a great free bus system. Ohio State is just freakin' huge, and it's in a big city too. Carnegie Mellon (atleast to me) seems to be kind of a loner school. Real urban campus, no cafeterias (all food court type stuff), I didn't like it. They also offered a joke package for financial aid. I'm heading off to UIUC next Saturday and if you want to e-mail me sometime this winter (sukhoi_584th@yahoo.com) I'll let you know how I like it.

Also, check out www.usnews.com for their college ranking by major for the engineering stuff.
