For sh!ts and giggles...

Occupation: 70th percentile*
Education: 91st percentile*
Income: 95th percentile*
Wealth: 85th percentile*
AVERAGE: 85th percentile*

Note: I did not include home equity (which is 100% in my case! :D ) in my wealth choices. If so, the Wealth category would have been in the 93rd percentile with a new average of 87th percentile.

Income:91st Percentile
Wealth:85th Percentile

Then why do I always feel stupid and poor?

There's no sense in asking this. Most people will lie. Most people on here will say they're 90% in the wealth category, even though this board is populated mostly by HS/college students and wealth is something you usually accumulate over time, making it unlikely that a 15-22 year old has that much wealth.

Oh I know. I just thought I would throw it out there and see what sticks.

Education, income and wealth are indicators I agree with, but how does one determine the class ranking of an occupation and does it really matter anymore? (Historically I'd agree with it, but these days...?)

They must be including every age group because a lot more than 9% of adults over the age of 25 have bachelors degrees. It is around 25%.

On their scale of prestige, a Judge ranks 38 while a database admin ranks 3? I'm calling shens on the idea that the admin is just behind the doctor and lawyer.

Well look at it this way, to put it in some perspective. A person with say an $80,000 a year job and a person with a $30,000 a year job in actuality are much closer to each other then they are to someone from the 'high brow' of society. There is only a $50,000 difference between them. That much can be spent in one good weekend out on the town for someone with real wealth.
