What cities to visit in New Zealand?

Guys parents are going to OZ land and want include a short trip to New Zealand as well. They want to visit two cities with the following criterion:
1. Scenic and natural city and surroundings.
2. A city with a casino

Anybody been to NZ? If yes could you recommend two must visit cities?

I'm a Kiwi. For casino Auckland's skycity is really the only good one, Oz is much better for casiono's.

For scenery the south island is hands down one of the most beautiful places ever. If they have the time the drive from Christchurch to franz joseph glacier is pretty epic you would want to make a weekend out of it. Unfortunatly Christchurch which was a fantastic and awesome city has been hit by 3 major earthqaukes in the lst 12 months and is epically FUBAR atm.

Queenstown in the south island is a bit of a tourist trap but it's is an unreal place and a must see in NZ imo.
