It is like the Church making murders and theives their pastors... it wouldn't be right, never will be right.

Yup, interestingly it uses the same word to mean 'sodomite' in reference to men and 'prostitute' in reference to women. Methinks then that either male prostitutes or lesbians must be off the hook entirely.
I'll leave that one up to you.

Actually, mr. hypocritical bigot, the bible says nothing about lesbians, just men. My Aunt served in the army, had a long term relationship with a very nice woman (post-service), adopted three nice young kids, and was a very active member in an open and loving methodist church.

There is a mention of "unnatural" relations with women. Paul, in the use of "men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another" can be logically connected with the women.
I believe that homosexuality is wrong according to the Scriptures, but it is wrong as any other sin. But anyone with a deep sincere heart of repentance and the acknowlegdment of their sins leading into a change of heart and actions, is forgiven. I would have no problem with a person like that serving in a church, just like most churches. But if the person knows of their sinful state, and refuses to take actions for their sins...any sin and not just homosexuality...through repentance, I would still embrace them, but also know that serving and taking a leadership role would not be the best place for them.

The anti-queer religious folk are the biggest hypocrites in the world. If I started a religion that barred colored people from joining I'd be a huge racist bigot, yet it's somehow perfectly fine to do the EXACT same thing to another group of people. So amusing.

I second that.
They (homosexuals) can yet be saved.
But having them be pastors would make them hypocrites, especially when they talk about abstaining from having homesexual relations.

Sin is Sin, and leads to sin. If you understand the Bible, you'll know there's no varying degrees of Sin; they're all detestable to God.

I see she decided to avoid half of the bible.... I never said that homosexuals can't be good citizens and can't be loving people, but that doesn't get you into heaven.
Face it, you can not be a devout Christian and say there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. You may disagree with me, but people who say such things are the only ones who give Christians a bad name.

think about it. He's asking about what church will accept homosexuals. Taken in account the fact that bible references such acts as sins (sodoma/gomorrah etc.) and that vast majority of people against that kind of lifestyle base their opinions off the very same religion hes looking to practice, how could that not create problems.
to throw in analogous example from the opposite end of the spectrum just to relate it better - do you remeber the judge from down south that refused to follow an order from the federal court to take down 10 commendments and yet after he got dimissed he was trying hard to get his job back? It's basically the same situation. You've got a person action on their own behalf yet completly against the constructs of the particular institution he's trying to be a part of.
I'm trying to stay off the topic of morality and/or right and wrong in terms of homosexuality or religious intolerance. However i can see from logic point of view how the o/p can be seen as a hypocrite

Why? Because I actually tell you what the bible says instead of just taking out small parts that I want to live by? Please understand that I am not saying I am perfect, we all fall and come short of the glory of God. The difference is, is that I'm willing to admit it when I'm sinning and ask for repentance. Homosexuality is wrong based on what the bible says, it has no place in the kingdom of God, sorry if that offends you.
