heyyy! That's my phone. 🙂 I actually still like it. Serves its purpose nicely even after 4-5 years.

edit: The slim battery makes it much nicer. And the slimmest flip phone out there.
 
Are the flip 'clamshell' phones very much in vogue now? I need to get a new one, but I can't help thinking that you look like a total yuppie when you have to flip open your phone to use it.

We'll never get stuff like they have in Japan.
That uses different frequencies as well so even if you were to bring it over, you couldn't use it.
Best option would be to get GSM phones from Europe which offers better phones than the garbage phones offered to the US market.
