I like the Plextors just as much as the other people, but they DO NOT make a IDE version of the UltraPlex, so why bother mentioning it?

I picked up a Toshiba drive myself. Im on my 3rd Kenwood in 1 year! First started with the 52X.. then it doed, sent back to Kenwood for RMA and replaced with a 62X.. The 62X is surving so far. During the RMA process, i purchased a 72X to hold me over. Well, needless to say. The 72X is going back to kenwood DOA.

The Kenwoods are very very fast quiet drives, but the reliability sucks

I have looked up info for CD-Rom's ...

So far my two IDE picks are kenwood's 72X TrueX, and teac540E
But i have heard many good things about the Toshiba...
However, I can't seem to find a Toshiba ...

Anybody help me?

I have a Kenwood 72X and its the best drive I ever had.... I had a 48X Creative and it was just so loud and all it did was spin up and down, POS.... as for my Kenwood it reads all CDR, CDRW, whatever it hasnt caused me a problem. Only CD it wouldnt read was an extremely scratched CD that my DVD read.
