What CD-R/CD-RW media to stay away from???

Just want to know if there are any particular companies that make cd-r/cd-rw media that i should stay away from when buying? I've heard that Memorex is a little on the down side.... Any others?

or perhaps there are some you guys can reccomend?

Lists of both good and bad would really help. Thanks.

It all depends on what you use your cdrs for. Almost every brand that I can think of will work fine in cdrom drives but the most picky readers are cdplayers, playstations, and other devices that aren't in your pc. For data backup they're all about the same, heck even the ones at outpost 50cds for $10 work well enough but they don't read very well on the playstation nor the cdplayer. If you're going to burn music buy brands such as Tdk, Sony, Fuji, Verbatium, etc.
