What causes people to drink to excess multiple times per week?

Lately, i;ve been going to a bar more often.

almost nite after nite i see some of the same people get plastered.

What makes people drink to excess like that?

Not bad. I'm probably going to quit, but only because I can make more at my internship working at home.

Pretty much. I was depressed for 5 years, near clinically so for the last 3. I never touched alcohol or drugs. Why? Because I knew it wouldn't do shit.

It's the initial euphoric state. People, I think, drink a little more to increase the effect but being dumb as we are at times, have the habit of not learning from our mistakes. I'm thirsty..brb

Welcome to the boomtown, pick a habit, we got plenty to go around.
Also, never try to teach a pig to sing, it will be a waste of time, and will only annoy the pig.
So, go back to the bar, have a good time, bask in the knowledge that you are now more attractive, and interesting, and try not to annoy the pig, for you are woefully ill-equipped to handle, or comprehend the why's, reasons, or "causes".
