What case would give me a bit more room?

I have This case which is also similar to this one

I am looking for more room around the CPU and drives...where the cables have to pass has become a bit cramped now with my XP120...

Pics of the setup.

I don't really need to have a full tower now...I was running 2 HDs, and 4 Opticals..but now I am down to 1HD and just a DVD reader and a DVD Burner. A Superdisc, and a card reader.

*edit* forgot to add this: I prefer a larger case due to cooling. I overclock everything and run quieter fans.

A C-M 590 or 690 has good room in the mobo space but only one floppy bay standard, but I think you can buy a bay adapter for another. I sort of like the Silverstone Kublai series of cases, but only the big KL03 have two 3.5" ext. standard. You can adapt a 5" bay though.

adapting the bays is no problem...I already am doing that for my floppy, I will check those out.

Heck, I didn't know there are bigger cases than yours!;)

I'm in the process of looking for a bigger case myself but bigger in the area where I can use two or more full-length video cards ( like the GTX260/280 or the 4870x2).
I missed out on the BestBuy Rocketfish full tower case deal (basically a rebadged Lian Li case for much less)

I think the best cases are the ones that can accomodate E-ATX mobos, like the Intel Skulltrail (which I am building for a friend).

Not sure I've got you beat for "BIG."

1994 modded Compaq PRoLiant Server refitted for bottom fans and ATX standoff placement
Chrome Lightning

About 5" taller and 2" wider than standard full-tower. then, add 4" more to the height for the 3" double-caster wheels.

If it were deeper that would be ideal...it's great vertically.

You can still find the Rocketfish Full Tower if you want one. There was five on fleaBay last I looked and they have been going for around $100. shipped. Can also check your local Craigslist and the FS/T sections of your favorite techie sites.

I didn't realize that case is 24" deep...that has like 8" on my current full tower.

Yup, a hobo could live in the RFFT's shipping box... (gross exaggeration) It really never goes unnoticed in its room. And did you look at the Chieftec towers that recently appeared on Newegg (other sites usually sell cases cheaper than Newegg any more).
