What case should i take?

Hey,

im building a new pc and im still not clear on what case to take.

Im doubting between the corsair 500r, corsair obsidian 650d, Cooler master HAF 922 and the Cooler Master 690 II Advanced.

Or any other suggestions like the Cooler Master HAF X?

Rest of my build will be:
PSU: Corsair Professional Series Gold AX750
GPU: Sapphire RADEON HD 6950
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K / 3.3 GHz
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1600)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
MoBo: Also doubting. Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 or Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3

Thx in advance, any comments on this build are welcome, im ordering in a few days.

no future watercooling, id take the 690... its a nice solid case.. or possibly look at a fractile.

If i am watercooling the 650d would make things a bit easier.. but not much...

in all, id think id still pick a fractile over the ones you listed.

I've read some review about the Fractal Design Define XL and they were pretty good. The thing is, I like the "flashyness" of the Cooler Master cases.

And I want some good aircooling, i'm worried that my CM Hyper 212 + will be blocked by the top fan in the case.

The CM HAF 922 caught my attention as well, but the main thing that bothers me with this case is that it doesnt have any dust filters. On the other hand it has GREAT airflow.
The CM 690 adv has dustfilters, is a bit smaller and airflow isn't as good as the HAF 922.

I was looking for a combo of these two and that would be the HAF X. But this a full tower model and i think this one will be a HUGE overkill on my setup and its expensive.

Are there any alternatives?

Well if you like the flashy, then the HAF is probably the best case if you can get past how it looks.

Personally i think its hideous.. :X
A case should have a classic yet stunning appeal... i shouldnt say this because my case is actually a BOX.. a BIG BLACK BOX!

If your going to get the HAF, i would recommend some DECI-M filters to go with it... As it would make your case so much easier in dust maintenance.

Try looking at some nzxt cases, they might have what you're looking for. I have the phantom. Its possibly the coolest looking case in the world with MANY features. It might be overkill(for you) but its worth it. I also think its less than the haf x

I picked up a 500R out of those choices (and the Fractal cases linked by aigomorla).

Love the case, especially when I removed the Corsair case fans and replaced them with my old ones (except the 200mm which is okay)
