SLK3000.

I assembled my son's system July, 2005, and bought the case from Provantage. (MadScientist link.) I searched high and low for a Yate Loon 120mm fan to use as a second case fan. I found a MadDog 120 at a CompUSA retail store, and it seems to be Yate Loon, as are the 3-speed Antec fan that comes with the slk3000, and the Seasonic PSU fan. Nexus is a higher priced resell of the Yate Loon. The second fan blows air over the drives and drive bay in the front.

My son is in a very small bedroom, no air conditioning. System needed to be low-noise and low-heat. (It got up to almost 85 degrees last summer, here in Seattle!!! ) Case works great, not silent but quiet enough, no OC heat problems. I am getting another case from Provantage for a second system, soon. The case fans normally run on low setting, essentially silent. Can manually bump them up to M or High, depending upon room temp and gaming, and fans get noisy. When occasionally set to "High" during the summer, bomb bursts and death screams normally drown out the extra fan noise, anyway. Doing research on the web and writing reports in MS Word does not require loud fans.

The plastic drive bay door/cover is somewhat in the way. Appears to be flimsy, but has taken some hard hits from user, and is still working. If (when) it does break, case will look just fine without it. You'd have to look hard to notice that it was gone. You must remove the face plate to get to the front fan screen/filter for cleaning, which requires some effort and brave plastic-bending.

2X 120mm case fans
1X 120 PSU fan
1X 80 CPU fan
1X NB fan
1X X800xl video fan
