I'm getting ready to build a dual amd rig, and i'm trying to decide what I want to use for a case.

I'd like to find a double wide case for a good price, but most of them are rather expensive. Anyone have any good suggestions for a case? The motherboard is an Asus A7M266-D in case that matters.

I use a Coolermaster 201-C with an ASUS P2B-DS and have found it to be roomy enough to work in, although not exactly spacious. I think the key thing is having a deep enough case, and haven't found width to particularly be an issue. Having a slide-out mobo tray helps, since you can always back it out a bit if what you're doing is getting you too close to the drive cages.

Coolermaster cases kick ass.... so bad.

my friend has an Inwin Q500 full tower with a dually hidden inside.

a guy I know that works at one of the local stores uses the same case as my other computer for us dual 1900+ MP rig (Antec SX-1040)

Maybe I will just get another chieftec then. I don't have the board yet and I couldn't seem to find the dimensions. Is the board wider or taller than a standard atx board, such as the Epox 8k5a2+ that I have now?

I think a Chieftec would work fine. According to the Asus manual for the board, it's 12" wide and 9.6" deep. Measuring in my Antec 1030, the board will extend about a 1/2 in under a hard drive.
