i think the Coolermaster Stacker is a pretty cool case. the plus is just the fan it looks like.
might as well get that on your own.

Welcome to the AT forums.

You didn't give enough info to make a rational suggestion - IDK where rhino got his from... ;)

We need:
- Price range w/o PSU (most won't recommend Case/PSU bundles)
- Color
- window or not
- riced or conservative
- size shape (mid-tower, desktop - HTPC, full tower, etc.)
- any other features that are critical to you.
- it would make life even easier if you used the Newegg case configurator to make a short list of 4 or 5 and then let us nitpick those for you.

However, and in the interest of time, let me toss some up and see which lands in one piece...
. If you do want one of the most geek'O'licious cases around and don't mind oversized, the original Stacker (STC-T01) is not a bad choice as there are rebates all over on them thru the EOM. Best bottom line is at ZZF from what I've seen and SVC has the "limited edition" blue trimmed one on sale/rebate.
. And the Aerocool CoolView is also on sale/rebate all over thru the EOM - aka "Poor man's Stacker". It has been discontinued so it's catch as catch can. A lot of case for the money, IMO. The Egg still has some in stock I know.
. In a more reasonable size, one model of the CM Centurion 534 is also on sale/rebate at the Egg - hard to find a better buy right now if it suits you. Drawbacks: mesh front lets any noise right at you and the lack of HDD isolation (rubber bushings, etc.).
. And be sure to see the Rosewill case thread here - the CM Mystique (basically the Centurion design done up in aluminum) 632 thread too.
. The Enermax Chakras are interesting too. Basically the Centurion design with a BIG FAN. The same drawbacks as the 534.
. If riced is your style, check the XClio A380. It's also on "special" at the Egg last I knew and NO ONE in your neighborhood will have one - BIG FANS! Looks like it has a reversible PSU mount - very cool as I like to mount my PSUs with the fan up rather than toward the CPU (if it is a PSU with the 120mm fan, or larger).

AFAIK both XClio and Rosewill are both Newegg in-house packagers, so they are available only at Newegg/ChiefValue (actually the same company) - at least I've never seen other places to buy them per Froogle, only N/C and eBay.

I have the Enermax Chakra with the 250mm fan. A modder gave me an idea to use some dryer sheets for the dust filters so I'm gonna try to work up some kind of easy mod for it. Once I got it all built I'll post my results.

Skott,

Make sure they are used dryer sheets - they are much less porous when new. Twice used would be even better...

I like the Antec P180 and alot of people here recommend anything from lianLi. I have never used LianLi but I would definately recommend a look.

For cooling I'm partial to the Zalman CNPS9500 however do realize that the fan is non-replacable if/when it goes out (before you change your parts again). So that may be an issue for you. Another great choice which gives more room to add your own fan is a Scythe cooler like the Infinity or the Mine. Both of which allow you to configure your own fan setup. For a more budget minded choice try the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. Any of these cooling systems are excellent quality.

I'll suggest an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 for your CPU. Provantage.com has the price to beat on 'em.

There is no other difference. Just the inclusion of the fan for the Plus.
