Hi everyone :)

I am looking for a GPU (not necessarily the most expensive) to play properly BF4 (BF5 soon) in 1440p, I don't think my MSI 760ti will stick out.

I am not trying to show off or explode benchs, I just want a stable carde for 2/3 years, with low consumption (i'm thinking about MSI 970 now)

I play a lot of BF and L4D2 (sometimes fps, h&s strategy and a little greedy)

Actual Rig : i7 2700k + 16GB + 800w Platinum.

Thank you

BF5: No one knows as not released.

BF4: Depends. Single or multiplayer? How many players? 64 player maps can easily be CPU limited hence better GPU will not help much. overclocked 2700k should mostly be ok. If at stock, overclock for 64 player maps.

For GPU depends on your target frame rate and desired quality settings. Use http://anandtech.com/bench/GPU15/1218 as reference. Google for other benchmarks like http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/27/battlefield-4-performance-analysis/4.

A good R9 390, like MSI gaming, Sapphire Nitro, XFX DD, PCS+ fits the bill.
Faster than a 970 and a safer bet if you're keeping the card for another 2 years.
As a bonus you get mantle in BF4.

I'd wait with your 760ti for the 14/16nm gpus to hit. Your 760ti will play bf4 well enough. If I had to buy a card now it'd probably be a r9 390. But wait. It'll be worth it.

Agree. I'm not sure whether OP has a 660 Ti, 760, or an actual rare 760 Ti (670 rebrand) but they all play Battlefield 4 fine if you turn down the settings. L4D2 can be maxed by a toaster. I'd wait since Polaris is due in Q3 this year.

thank's for your feeds,

I think I'll wait 5-6 months for the next generation cards (if not convinced I'll take a 980 or fury whose price will decrease certainly).

Meanwhile I'll take an 1440p to see the resullts with my 760ti, and if not satisfacted for some game i will play it on my 1080p until having a good card.

thank's again
